Chevrolet’s 2027 Small SUV Refresh Covers Both Trax and Trailblazer

For 2027, Chevrolet is refreshing the Trax and Trailblazer at the same time. Shoppers looking at either of the brand’s two most affordable vehicles will see the updates arrive together.

What the Refresh Covers on Both Models

Chevrolet upgraded the electrical and software architecture in both SUVs. That foundation enables more than 20 standard safety and driver assistance features, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Front and Rear Park Assist, Safety Alert Seat and Blind Zone Steering Assist.

Newly standard for 2027 are features such as Reverse Automatic Braking, Side Bicyclist Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Front Park Assist, Rear Seat Belt Indicator and Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking.

Both models also share the new screens, Google built-in with Gemini compatibility, newly available OnStar One and the new Storm Sky Gray interior colour, which Chevrolet describes as natural and earthy.

For Budget-Minded Shoppers

The LT trim starts each lineup, and it carries the full standard safety list and the new screens. That puts the core 2027 upgrades in every trim from the start. On the Trax LT, wheels with a higher-contrast finish give it an urban look.

For Style Seekers

The Trax’s exterior updates include a new grille, new wheel designs, all-LED taillamps and a redesigned liftgate. Chevrolet describes it as a more premium look and feel. The Trax RS adds 19-inch wheels for a sportier stance, and hexagonal side vents freshen the instrument panel inside.

The Trailblazer lineup also includes an RS trim, paired with the Trailblazer’s redesigned cabin.

For Weekend Explorers

Two trims answer the call. The Trax ACTIV keeps an adventure-inspired style with a unique front-end design.

The Trailblazer Z71 is new for 2027 and goes further. Chevrolet calls it the brand’s entry-level adventure-ready AWD model, with:

An underbody skid plate
Sport-terrain tires

It also brings debossed front-row headrests and a Jet Black and Storm Sky Gray interior with Orange accents. Z71 joins a Chevrolet family that already includes the Traverse, Tahoe, Suburban, Colorado and Silverado.

The Trailblazer’s redesigned cabin is built around the driver. A new column-mounted shifter made room for a centre console with more flexible storage, including cupholders that retract to open up space. Rear passengers gain HVAC vents.

Cargo access improves on both models. A power liftgate will be available on the Trax for the first time, and the AutoSense power liftgate will be available on the Trailblazer.

For connected families, OnStar One’s 12 included months bring services such as in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot capability and video streaming.
